Dubai School Finder

About

Built by an educator. For Dubai families.

Every family moving to Dubai walks into the same wall. Thirty browser tabs open, fee schedules that don’t match what schools actually charge, WhatsApp forwards of opinions dressed as advice, and a spreadsheet that lies about the total cost. At the end of the week, you’re no closer to a decision than when you started.

Dubai School Finder exists to end that week. The person who built it has lived it.

Dr. Ambika Yadav

Founder · Dubai School Finder

PhD in Biology. M.Sc. Biotechnology. Ten-plus years teaching higher-secondary students — the kind who are two years from a decision that defines the next decade of their lives. She knows the difference between a school that looks good on paper and a school that actually prepares a child for what comes next.

She moved to Dubai with a child in KG1 and went looking for the school. What she found was marketing copy, inconsistent fee disclosures, and zone-based listings that had nothing to do with where her family actually lived. No site gave her the real annual cost. None ranked schools to her home. None showed the weights behind the algorithm.

So she built what was missing. Every feature on this site answers a question she had as a parent — and pressure-tested it against what she knows as an educator. If it didn’t survive that double audit, it got cut.

No venture capital. No advertiser relationships. No affiliate kickbacks. The product is supported by discreet display ads on results pages — never on the homepage, never above the real-cost reveal. If that ever changes, this page changes first.

The manifesto

What we believe about the Dubai school search.

  1. 1. Tuition is not the price. The real price is tuition plus transport, books, uniform, activities, meals, and the KHDA Knowledge Dirham. Any site that hides this is selling you a story.
  2. 2. Distance is kilometres, not zones. “Schools in Downtown” is a lazy filter. A 3.1 km commute to a school across a zone boundary beats a 12 km commute to a school in “your” zone, every morning, for fourteen years.
  3. 3. The DSIB rating is not everything, but it is not nothing. KHDA inspectors spend days inside these schools. Ignoring that rating to chase a prettier brochure is expensive.
  4. 4. Parents deserve to see the algorithm. Our weights are public, tunable, and documented. There is no black box.
  5. 5. This decision is too big to rush, and too big to outsource. We give you the data. You make the call.
