Your family’s information. Your choices.

Your school search. This can include your child’s age or grade, curriculum, budget, priorities, shortlisted schools and the area or exact map location you choose. A family or child’s name is optional.

Your account and conversations. We use your email address to identify your account. When you sign in, we save your separate cases, including the information you add, your decisions and your conversations with Murshid, so you can return on another device.

Voice messages. If you record a message instead of typing it, the recording is sent to OpenAI to be turned into text and is not stored by us; only the text enters your conversation, where you can edit it before sending.

Payments and support. Stripe handles payment details. We keep your order, email, amount paid and payment, refund or dispute records, but not your full card number or security code. If you contact us, we use your email and message to respond and keep a record of the enquiry.

Website use. Our service providers receive connection information such as your IP address, browser, pages requested and search details. Search links can contain filters and exact coordinates. These can remain in browser history or be visible to anyone you share the link with.

• To show schools, fees, comparisons and road-route estimates you request.
• To provide Murshid’s free preview and paid case service, and save your signed-in progress.
• To handle payments, refunds, support and service emails.
• To protect accounts, prevent abuse, understand feature use and fix problems.
• To meet applicable legal, accounting, tax and regulatory obligations.

We use information needed for the service you request or for legal and security obligations. Where processing depends on consent, such as using your browser’s location, optional case information or marketing emails, you can withdraw consent for future use.

AI replies. Whether signed in or signed out, your message, relevant conversation and case details are sent to our systems and an AI provider to prepare a reply. A school-research question may also be processed to find inspection evidence. The free preview does not mean your conversation stays only in your browser.

Maps and routes. Our mapping provider receives the location you choose and school destinations when you request maps or routes. An exact location added to a signed-in case can be saved with that case and included in Murshid’s context.

Running the service. We use providers for website delivery, sign-in, secure storage, AI responses, maps, payments, email delivery, usage measurement and error monitoring. They process information for the relevant service. Contact us for details about the providers handling your information.

School enquiries. Preparing a draft does not send it. If sending is offered, you must review the exact message and explicitly confirm “Send it” before it is sent. You are copied on the email and replies are directed to you. The school receives only the information in the message you approve.

We do not sell or rent personal data, run behavioural advertising, or let schools pay for your details or influence rankings. We may share information with advisers or authorities to comply with law, protect safety, investigate fraud or establish legal rights.

Some providers process information outside the UAE. We limit what they receive and use contractual and security safeguards appropriate to the service and applicable law. Contact us for more information about overseas processing.

Essential cookies keep you signed in and remember how many free Murshid replies you have used. The preview cookie contains a random reference, not your conversation, name, email, location or child’s details. It is not used for advertising or to track you across websites.

When signed out, your working case, conversation, comparison list and map pin stay in the current browser tab, not as a lasting account record. Closing the tab clears that working copy. Your messages still need processing to provide AI replies, as explained above.

We measure selected actions, such as opening a feature or comparing schools, using a reference limited to the current tab. Events may include school names, fee or rating labels and counts. We remove search-link details and do not include your email, child’s details, exact coordinates or Murshid messages. Providers can still receive connection and device information.

We keep session recordings of how the site is used, including what you type to Murshid, for up to 30 days, so we can see where the product fails people and fix it. Email and password fields are masked and payment pages are not recorded. Automatic click tracking is disabled. Error monitoring uses technical error, browser and performance information, with personal-information collection and session replay disabled by default. Operational AI monitoring keeps Murshid conversations and model replies for up to 14 days to audit reply quality; your account and case identifiers are replaced by a random reference there. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels.

• Signed-out working information and the usage-measurement reference last for the current tab. Browser history and copied links are controlled by you and your browser.
• The free-preview cookie expires within 30 days. Its separate usage record expires 30 days after last use. If you sign in, replies already used count towards your account’s allowance.
• Signed-in case information stays until you delete the case or account, or ask us to delete it, subject to limited legal requirements.
• If school-email sending is offered, approval expires after 30 minutes. Drafts and records of sent messages stay with the case until deletion.
• Deleting a case removes its family details, location, preferences, shortlist, activity, conversation and email drafts. Payment records are kept separately after case deletion where needed for refunds, disputes, fraud prevention, accounting, tax or legal requirements.
• Support messages, payment records and email opt-out records are kept for their operational or legal purpose, subject to applicable record-keeping periods.
• Providers have their own contractual retention periods. Deleted information may remain in protected recovery backups until routinely replaced; it is not restored for ordinary use.

You can search, compare and try Murshid without an account. You can delete an individual saved case from Your case without affecting other cases.

To close your account or request access, a portable copy, correction, deletion, restriction or an explanation of how your data is used, email hello@dubaischoolfinder.ae. Use your account email where possible so we can verify your request.

Applicable UAE law, including Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data, may also give you rights to object, withdraw consent or request review of automated processing. Murshid and comparisons support your decision; they do not make an admissions or enrolment decision about your child.

We may verify your identity and retain limited records or decline a request where the law allows. We respond within the legally required period and explain any limitation. You may contact the competent UAE data-protection authority if you believe your rights have not been respected.

Marketing emails, if separately requested, include an unsubscribe option. Essential messages about your account, payment, security or a requested transaction are not marketing.

The service is for parents, guardians and adult advisers, not children to use independently. Share only what is needed for your school search. Do not send passports, Emirates IDs, medical files, academic records, payment card details or other unnecessary sensitive documents to Murshid.

If a future feature needs more sensitive information, we will provide a separate explanation and appropriate controls before introducing it.

We use restricted access, secure connections and checks on account, payment and email actions. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Report a suspected privacy or security issue to hello@dubaischoolfinder.ae.

We update this policy when data practices materially change, including who processes information or how long it is kept. Where required by law, we will notify you or obtain consent before a new use begins.
